Following a rigorous tendering process TEAM has been awarded preferred supplier status by Buying Solutions, an Executive Agency of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC).
The contract makes available to the public sector the following energy management services:
- CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme – Tailored solutions for all your CRC requirements
- Display Energy Certificate (DEC) and Advisory Report Service
- Carbon Footprint Calculation – The first step to any carbon management programme
- Energy bill validation to eradicate errors in billing – approx 3% saving
- Electronic bill processing – around £30 per bill saving
- Monitoring and targeting to identify where consumption can be reduced – 5 to 20% saving
- Energy and Carbon Saving Compliance reporting
- Energy Consultancy including Energy Surveys – 5 to 25% saving
- Flexible Energy Management Services to provide part-time energy management as required
The Framework Agreement enables central and local government departments, and other organisations who purchase through Buying Solutions to benefit immediately from TEAM’s services, without the need to go through a tendering process. Any government department, health authority, local authority, nationalised industry, public body or charity can work with TEAM via the Framework Agreement. Private sector contractors who are providing a facility or service to the public sector are also included.
The Framework Agreement with TEAM can help organisations to meet Government energy conservation and sustainability targets. Typically, sites are able to reduce their energy usage by between 5 to 25% with little or no capital expenditure, simply by scrutinising their bills, understanding in detail how they use their energy and identifying areas where savings can be made by adopting some common sense measures. This is especially important against a market of rising costs and Government targets to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
