The London Borough of Camden is committed to improving the quality of life for those who live, work and visit the Borough. Included in this is a commitment to improve the environment and over the last ten years, they have been executing a comprehensive energy management programme, which includes thorough energy monitoring and targeting of Council properties.

The London Borough of Camden initially started working with TEAM to manage energy consumption through utilisation of the TEAM Energy Accounting system (EA). With growing requirements to carry out extensive monitoring, they later adopted TEAM Bulk Bill Checker (BBC).

TEAM BBC has delivered a number of benefits to London Borough of Camden. These include:

• Improving Business Processes – Elimination of manual processing of bills and a reduction in manual intervention cuts costs
• Improved accuracy & cost savings – TEAM BBC carries out a series of automated bill validation checks ensuring only valid bills are paid. Karen Turton, Energy Contracts Manager at Camden Council explains that Managing billing is an important part of energy contract management, particularly at the moment when there are high numbers of erroneous transfers and incorrectly billed accounts.’ The council typically query around 200 utility bills they receive each month.
