19-03-2010TEAM gain ISO accreditation
TEAM, leading supplier of energy management solutions in the UK has just been awarded ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation based on using an innovative paperless quality and environmental management system.
Lloyds’ Registered Assessor said, “TEAM’s use of a Wikipedia style framework for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is very innovative. I’ve been assessing ISO accreditation for 20 years and this is the first time I have come across it. It’s completely paperless, easy to use, highly visible across TEAM’s intranet, freely downloadable and easy for me to audit.”
Paul Martin, Managing Director of TEAM commented: “We embarked on attaining the ISO 9001 standard to help support improvements in our customer care and ISO 14001 to help practice what we preach. We have been using a Wiki based system for over 3 years as an intranet with content ranging from policies, procedures, work practices, i.e. how staff can book our MK Dons season tickets. We now have over 1300 pages and it seemed a logical choice to use as a base for our quality management system.”
ISO 9001 sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general. It helps organisations to succeed through improved customer satisfaction, staff motivation and continual improvement. ISO 14001 specifies the requirements for an organisation’s environmental management system and applies to those environmental aspects over which an organisation has control and where it can be expected to have an influence.
