Last month the TEAM Bureau was finally rewarded for their long term persistence in querying an incorrect electricity invoice on behalf of their client Ealing Council. Following an initial query raised in September 2010, Ealing Council was finally credited for a total overcharge of £17,619.35.
A bill received in 2010 for a block of flats in Lambourn Close had been identified as showing unusually high consumption. Upon investigation by the TEAM Bureau it was established that this was the result of an incorrect meter read. TEAM requested a new meter read from the supplier, which was carried out and resulted in yet another incorrect read. A second supplier meter read carried out in May 2012 finally confirmed that Ealing Council had been overcharged and their account was credited. This brings the total of savings made for the council by TEAM bureau this year up to nearly £32,000.
