TEAM supports Solas Utility Initiative

TEAM is supporting the new Solas Utility Initiative (SUI) aimed at reducing energy and driving down costs in addition to creating new jobs in Scotland. 

SUI – formed by social enterprise Solas Scotland and energy consultancy Utility Aid – offers advice to the voluntary and public sectors as well as businesses in an effort to save them energy and money.

The scheme hopes to recruit up to 30 energy efficiency advisers over the next 12 months, with a focus on employing people with disabilities, injured ex-service personnel and the long-term unemployed. In the first year of operation, the scheme will focus on providing energy efficiency advice to Scottish charities and community organisations.
