Former contracts manager for Opus Energy, Matthew Cooper, has joined our Energy Bureau department to support its continued growth and deliver customer service excellence.
Strengthening the company’s Service Delivery team, Matthew will manage a number of customer relationships, and help drive performance improvements across our portfolio management and bill validation service.
Matthew has over 10-years’ experience working in the energy utilities industry, and brings with him a wealth of knowledge across supplier performance and improvement, extensive supplier relationship management, compliance and cost reduction expertise.
Prior to joining TEAM, Matthew worked for utilities supplier Opus Energy as Contracts Manager, where he also previously held a position as a Metering Team Champion driving quality assurance, and implementing regulatory and legislative changes.
On joining TEAM, Matthew said:

After many years in the industry, cultivating relationships, and learning the unique challenges of supplier management, I am looking forward to working on the other side, utilising my data driven approach to provide customers with proactive energy management support and expertise.
As a principle contact for our Bureau service customers, Matthew will be responsible for coordinating the management of their energy portfolios, including bill validation, and providing energy consumption analysis insights on costs, trends and savings.
As part of the departments enhanced service offering, Matthew will also oversee additional customer support through our Energy Consultancy, working with organisations to fulfil their wider energy management needs, from Net Zero and Carbon Reduction to advice on Ofgem’s Targeted Charging Review.
