A collaborative approach to data reporting and emissions targets.
Getting our customers data in an order that supports their business operations is a priority for our energy Bureau. We can both ensure that the data is complete and accurate to support precise energy management and format the database to suit the requirements of the business enabling them to access data and create their own reports.
One of our customers required a multilevel service with a dedicated team to support their sustainability objectives and day-to-day energy management of their diverse and large energy estate. A data and reporting expert from our Bureau and a low carbon specialist and EnCO consultant from our Consultancy work in collaboration and as an extension to the customer’s team.
This service includes support with building carbon targets; where we provide methodology options to help set carbon targets for individual buildings within the energy estate. We also analysed their portfolio’s capacity as a utility cost-saving exercise linked to electricity maximum demand and available supply capacity; this included a prediction of future heat decarbonisation and increased electric car charging linked to each site.
Underpinning our service is a fully configured database to enable efficient reporting that suits the customer’s business processes. As part of this we conducted a full review of the energy estate’s meters, coordinating with third parties, and providing guidance to ensure consumption data is correct.
Working closely with the customer to build an accurate database and aligning data to their targets has enabled us to begin their ESOS compliance. A large amount of the ESOS analysis comes from the Sigma database so it takes the pressure off the customer. The ESOS building energy surveys will help to provide energy and carbon saving recommendations which will in turn further help with the customer’s long term carbon targets.
