On 1 October, Team Energy hosted its latest webinar, Navigating the New Era of Sustainability Reporting, bringing together organisations looking to strengthen their sustainability reporting processes and build greater confidence in their data.
Hosted by TEAM’s Tom Anderton, Commercial Director, and Tim Holman, Head of Consultancy, the session explored how sustainability reporting is evolving, why high quality data is becoming increasingly critical, and the practical steps organisations can take to improve the accuracy, visibility and efficiency of their reporting.
The webinar highlighted why sustainability reporting has become a business priority. As organisations face growing pressure to demonstrate transparent, accurate and meaningful progress across environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, reporting is no longer simply about compliance. Effective sustainability reporting helps organisations understand their impact, identify emissions hotspots, track progress against targets and make more informed decisions that support long term sustainability goals.
Attendees heard about the common challenges organisations face when collecting and managing sustainability data, including reliance on disconnected spreadsheets, manual data collection processes and inconsistent data sources. These issues can create inefficiencies, increase the risk of errors and make it difficult to produce reliable, audit ready reports.
Tom and Tim discussed how organisations can move beyond manual reporting methods by improving data quality, consolidating information from multiple sources and creating a single source of truth for sustainability data. The session also explored how better reporting can support business planning, regulatory compliance and net zero ambitions by providing decision makers with clearer visibility of performance and potential risks.
With many organisations entering a new financial year and reviewing budgets, priorities and targets, the webinar encouraged attendees to assess whether their current reporting processes are providing the trusted data needed to answer critical questions: What progress have we made? Where are our biggest emissions hotspots? Are we on track to meet our targets? And most importantly, can we trust the data we are using to make decisions?
For those unable to attend, the webinar recording and presentation slides are available on demand, providing practical guidance on improving sustainability reporting and preparing for the growing demands of ESG, carbon and net zero reporting.
