Egypt’s hope for COP27 is that agreements and pledges made are translated into action, and that there is one international community working for the common good of our shared planet and humanity.
Ahead of the conference, we asked some of our energy specialists what their hopes for this year’s event are.

At the conference this year, I would like world leaders and policy makers to improve legislation to support businesses to maximise building energy efficiency; with particular attention being paid towards air conditioning which inevitably is being more relied upon as global temperatures rise.
Richard Quigley, Energy Consultant

My hope for COP27 is for global leaders to empower more vulnerable nations and younger generations to contribute to the agenda of global climate change, with practical assistance, feasible training though developed sustainable strategies in terms of adaptation.
